At Shota, we offer two omakase experiences:

Shota Premium Omakase
18 courses · $225 per person

Shota Gentei Omakase
19 courses · $295 per person

Both menus showcase premium seasonal ingredients, with approximately 30% of the ingredient selections differing between the two experiences. Prices exclude beverages, tax, and gratuity.

Our menus follow the seasons, featuring seafood sourced through trusted vendors in Japan, alongside carefully selected Japanese rice, vinegar, nori, and fresh wasabi. Throughout the nigiri courses, we use three distinct blends of sushi-zu—seasoned vinegar for sushi rice—each selected to complement the ingredients it accompanies. Every element is chosen with care to bring balance, depth, and harmony to each bite.

Beverages

Our beverage menu includes Japanese whisky, sake, wine, Champagne, beer, cocktails, and mocktails.

We also offer a monthly sake pairing, a mixed wine and sake pairing, and a nonalcoholic mocktail pairing, each thoughtfully selected to complement our omakase.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a dress code?

Jackets are not required. We kindly ask guests to avoid strong perfume or cologne, as fragrances can affect the delicate aromas of the meal and the experience of other guests.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?

We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, subject to the requirements of our menu. Because our seafood is sourced from Japan and ordered in advance, please notify us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at least 72 hours before your reservation.

Requests we can often accommodate include gluten-free, kosher, dairy-free, and pescatarian diets, as well as restrictions involving shellfish, uni, soy, or rice. Please contact us directly about special requirements so we can discuss your specific needs and what our kitchen can accommodate.

We are unable to accommodate vegetarian or vegan diets, or guests who do not eat raw fish. All requests must be confirmed with the restaurant in advance.

Do you offer beverage pairings?

Yes. We offer a monthly sake pairing, a mixed wine and sake pairing, and a nonalcoholic mocktail pairing. Selections change to complement our seasonal omakase menus.

Can I bring wine or sake?

Our corkage fee is $150 per 750ml bottle, with a maximum of two bottles per party. Magnum bottles are not permitted.

We do not accept bottles currently offered on our beverage menu. Please email info@shotaomakase.com before your visit to confirm the bottles you would like to bring.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to our limited seating and advance ingredient preparation, cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, and reductions in party size within 72 hours of your reservation will incur a nonrefundable booking fee.

We also reserve the right to cancel reservations that remain unconfirmed 24 hours before the scheduled seating.

How long does a seating last?

Please allow approximately two hours for your omakase experience.

What happens if I arrive late?

Please arrive on time so you can enjoy the full experience. We cannot guarantee the complete menu for guests arriving more than 15 minutes late.

Do you offer private dining?

Yes. We offer full restaurant buyouts for up to 27 guests across our two omakase counters. Partial buyouts are also available, with one counter seating 10 guests and the other seating 17.
